SNAKE RIVER FIREARMS INSTRUCTORS

2009 Class Schedule

Note for prospective NRA Instructors, you must take Basic Instructor Training (BIT) before you can take any of the specific instructor classes like rifle, pistol, shotgun, etc.  Before being accepted into a Basic Instructor Training or other instructor class you need to complete a pre-course questionnaire and a pre-course practical assessment.  Click here for a copy of that questionnaire.  The questionnaire and your course application and fees must be mailed in together.  You'll be scheduled for the practical assessment.  NRA instructor candidates are expected to have a certain level of skills, knowledge, and attitudes toward teaching prior to being accepted for training.  The pre-course questionnaire and practical assessment are designed to identify those candidates who know about firearms, have basic shooting skills, and have the personal integrity to teach the NRA material verbatim as covered in the national standard lesson guides.  Click here for the pre-course questionnaire form.
